Back to Basics

I usually just make small projects. Which is great for my incredibly impatient nature. But I noticed that the needle size and yarn weight were getting smaller and smaller. I'm liking the detail I can get with the finer gauge. But this weekend, I sat down with thick yarn and fat needles, and garter stitch. I knocked out a neck warmer in one sitting. It was awesome!!! I sat down with my kids to watch Despicable Me for the nth time. I think before the moon returned to it's correct orbit in the movie, I was sewing on buttons! I still like the detail I can get with the finer gauge, but it felt good to just whip something out beginning to end in one sitting. That doesn't happen very often.

Assemble the Minions!

I started another minion hat. The hat itself is a little boring to knit since it is almost all St st. It's the goggles that are the fun part!! One eyeball or two? I can't decide yet. And maybe this one needs a comb over!! YEAH!!

Christmas craziness is OVER!!!

It's January. Life is returning to normal! Kinda. My speed knitting is done. Tried to get done more projects for gifts, but there are never enough hours in the day. I finished one of them last night.... Oops. My favorite one is a minion hat from Despicable Me. I LOVE that movie!! It's so Fluffy!! The hat is not fluffy though. It came out so cute!!! And you think I would have gotten of good picture of it before I wrapped it.... another, oops. Oh well, I'm gonna have to knit more anyway. It came out so freakin' cute! I think it's funny that most of my character hats are destined for adults. I'll put the pattern up on Ravelry once I finish the next one.

My "Annoyed Monster Hat" is selling on Ravelry! And I am loving the pictures that people are posting!! I giggle every time I see that hat.
