Back to Basics

I usually just make small projects. Which is great for my incredibly impatient nature. But I noticed that the needle size and yarn weight were getting smaller and smaller. I'm liking the detail I can get with the finer gauge. But this weekend, I sat down with thick yarn and fat needles, and garter stitch. I knocked out a neck warmer in one sitting. It was awesome!!! I sat down with my kids to watch Despicable Me for the nth time. I think before the moon returned to it's correct orbit in the movie, I was sewing on buttons! I still like the detail I can get with the finer gauge, but it felt good to just whip something out beginning to end in one sitting. That doesn't happen very often.
